New Music | Jaden Smith – "Watch Me"

July 23, 2017

Jaden Smith has been making moves as of late and in my humble opinion is one of today's most underrated rap artists. He dropped a low key banger titled "Batman" a few weeks ago with visuals that featured him sporting a white on white dark knight outfit as he went around Hollywood simply being Jaden.

More recently, he released his latest single "Watch Me" off his forthcoming album "SYRE" and as per usual, the kid is pushing boundaries. The track sounds like the rock inspired love child of a "Yeezus - Black Skinhead" Kanye West and maybe Marilyn Manson. Filtered vocals, live percussion and raw instrumentation make for something you can rock out to whilst rapping along to lyrics like "Since 2012 I've been the coolest".

"You see me dancing like I'm Elvis / Just tell your man that it's all in the pelvis / Watch me, watch me, watch me do this / Since 2012 I've been the coolest / If you do not get it, my ni**a, you foolish,"

This is the first track released in partnership with Roc Nation, Jay-Z's flagship and we hear that Jaden will be touring soon which he announced via twitter.

Check out the song and the trailor for the visuals below.
