Pharoahe Monch | Everybody put their palms in the clouds

July 21, 2017

“Pharoahe Monch is incredible, he’s been ahead of his time”, Eminem

No need for further introduction.

Returning for the first time since 2014, the Grammy Award winner from Queens, New York is coming to Australia for a seven-date tour.

Inspired by Jazz music and musicians such as John Coltrane, the rapper is bringing more than 25 years of complex lyrics and rhyme schemes. He has released 4 studio albums and collaborated with names like Jill Scott, Mos Def, Justin Timberlake, Macy Gray and the Australian hip-hop group, Hilltop Hoods.

The 44-year-old won his first Grammy with his collaboration for the 2015 Miles Davis biopic, “Miles Ahead”. The movie’s soundtrack featured Pharoahe’s track, “Gone 2015”. Please, listen to it. It will be the best thing you’ll do today.
