RINI, debuts.

May 25, 2017

Melbourne based artist RINI debuted his self titled album on Thursday, 25 May. A day that Australia would not be forgetting anytime soon. We've dubbed this album, the best R&B release to come out of the country. Its high praise, but the album is deserving.  9 tracks long, RINI draws inspiration from a plethora of artists, most notable, Frank Ocean, Khalid, DVSN and female vocalist Kehlani.

RINI enlists JSPA, Nasty Mars and Olivia Escuyos as features. In his own words, he speaks on his music, "it might just be new sounds for some, but to me, it's a collection of memories, just like photographs". We're sure many of us will be making new memories to this album.

The album was a major collaborative process, RINI shouting out those involved on his social media. Among those were: RMR Productions leading the way, in audio and visually, the album cover - designed by Jan Krystovic, GAZS on production for 'Substitute', Beck Russack on production for 'Carefree' and 'Sweet Ride', Stephen Peralta producing the 'Intro' and co-writing 'Substitute', 'Vacation' and 'Carefree'. Nathan Concha Difuntorium and Matt Concha who co-wrote and featured on 'Carefree'. Female vocalist Olivia Escuyos added vocals on 'Vacation', JSPA featured on 'Way Things Are', Nasty Mars featured on 'Sweet Ride' and Sohail Niazi was credited for "killing the verse on Mondays".

Catch RINI performing his album live at 'The Operatives, Bad Opera' event on 11 June.
